It was once speculated that EA Motive, the studio behind Star Wars: Squadrons, was working on a new Star Wars game, but it’s since denied this. With EA supposedly considering making the FIFA series free-to-play in the future, perhaps it could do the same thing with Battlefront 3 if it intends to keep pushing loot boxes. While Star Wars: Battlefront 2 was mired by its loot box controversy, it eventually became a game worth playing once its DLC was finished.
